Welcome to the Alfred Dept of Anaesthesia & Perioperative Medicine workshop for CICO training.

This refresher course is suited for provisional anaesthesia fellows, Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and Staff Anaesthetists. Certificates of completion will be awarded to all successful participants and this can be used to obtain CPD Can't Intubate Can't Oxygenate emergency scenarios from ANZCA (Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetists).

Structure of the sessions

There is some pre-workshop material that needs viewing and revision prior to the workshop. There will be no theory covered in the workshop but rather "hands on" practice, which will be held in the workshop at the Alfred Hospital.

 

Claiming the CPD points

Once the workshop has been completed, you will be required to complete the CICO workshop assessment, which will be available as an online link. You will then be emailed the completion certificate, with course code that you can upload to the ANZCA emergency response session database.
